The band put on a solid performance at the 2018 LBBA Open Brass Band Contest, placing 6th out of 9 bands competing in the Fourth Section.
Special congratulations go to Principal Cornet, David Taylor (left) who won a trophy for "Best Instrumentalist" in the section. The band's Chairman, David Hemingway (right) collected the prize and presented it at a following rehearsal.
The adjudicator, praised David for his solo in Peter Graham's "The Journal of Phileas Fogg".
